The property registration process in Batumi Georgia
The real estate registration process takes place in the Public Register of Georgia, which is located in the House of Justice in Batumi.​ 


The deal can be carried out ​either ​i​n the Public Registry ​or at the notary office.​ 

All the documents necessary for the ​deal, such as the purchasing contract, ownership deeds, etc., are prepared by our agency in advance

To purchase real estate, the buyer only needs a passport as a document. If the buyer is not a citizen of Georgia, he needs to have a foreign passport with him. In addition, to purchase property you need an appropriate amount of money.

The process of signing the contract of sale, submission of documents and settlement of the contract - takes 1 working day.​ 

The duration of the document registration process depends on the registration period, which is ​either chosen by the buyer or agreed by the parties.

The cost of registration (state fee) depends on the selected registration period.

Terms of registration of real estate and the amount of the fee

— in 4 working days - 157 GEL
— within 1 working day - 277 GEL
— at the registration day - 357 GEL

The fee is paid by the buyer, at the Public Register office or at the notary office.​

​Despite the relatively short ​terms of​ property ​registration in Georgia, when planning your trip to the ​d​eal, you need to take into account that unforeseen circumstances may ​​accure during the deal (even if everything has been carefully prepared), and the ​registration period may ​d​elay.

Payment under the contract of sale can be made both in cash and by bank transfer.
In case of cash ​​p​ayment, a document confirming the fact of payment is drawn up ​i​s an act of acceptance and transfer of funds. This act is an appendix to the contract of sale.
Non-cash payment is made by bank transfer of the contract amount from the buyer's ​b​ank account to the seller's ​b​ank account.

The moment of handing over the apartment and keys is agreed upon individually between the parties. 

Upon completion of registration in the database of the Public Register of Georgia, a document on ownership is formed in electronic form. It can be downloaded as a PDF file, printed and saved.

You can also get a property document with a registry stamp directly from the Public Registry of Georgia. To do this, you need to send a corresponding request to the Registry.
